Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have access to Wifi?
Yes! There is wifi available on-site. It is common in Costa Rica for intermittent power outages. When this happens we may lose wifi temporarily. You may also consider getting a Costa Rican sim card for your stay so you will have service while off-site.
Do I need prior cooking experience to enroll?
Beginners Welcome. At Plant Pantry we will start with the basic fundamentals of cooking and bring you to a place of confidence and skill with different techniques and processes over the 8 week period.
Are there activities or excursions available during the program?
Yes! We will visit a local cacao farm. Our guide will teach us everything we need to know about cacao, chocolate history and of course chocolate making. We will also spend some time at the largest farmer’s market in Costa Rica upon your arrival. Optional tours to Cahuita National Park, Manzanillo National Park and the Jaguar Rescue Center are available for an additional cost. We are happy to help you arrange Spanish classes, surfing lessons, yoga, massage and much more.
